For my part, the primary consideration for buying any print, is how will the medium chosen display the color and detail of the digital image. Another consideration is cost, and many print purchasers don't appreciate just how expensive custom (and even off the shelf) mats and frames are! We do offer photographic paper prints for our images, but keep in mind that they don't do as good a job of displaying the color brightness of metal and canvas wraps, especially for landscape images. They also require mounting and framing in order to hang on the wall. Our metal prints and canvas gallery wrap prints are both superb at bringing out the detail and color of a digital image, and in most cases can be hung on the wall without needing a frame!
You'll notice that the print sizes offered (both metal and canvas wraps) vary depending on the "Aspect Ratio". An image right out of most digital cameras is set at a 4x6 aspect ratio. Some images may benefit from a different crop after they get edited, so they can be cropped in a 4x5 ratio or even in a more free-form panoramic crop (long and narrow). Ron will fit the print you choose to the proper ratio. Just be aware that the image you choose will have to be sized in accordance with its aspect ratio. If you choose an image with a 4x6 aspect ratio it will have to be sized at 16x24 or 20x30, whereas one with a 4x5 ratio will be either 16x20 or 24x30.
MetalPrints™ represent a new art medium for preserving photos by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. Your images will take on a magical luminescence. You've never seen a more brilliant and impressive print! Colors are vibrant and the luminescence is breathtaking. Detail and resolution are unsurpassed.
Metal prints are also very versatile in how they can be mounted, and make a great presentation with a standout mount keeping the metal sheet "floating" 3/4 inch off the wall. They look great on their own with no frame, but they can also be mounted in any frame of your choice. Since the metal print has such a hard, durable surface, you won't need glass in the frame either! This is hands down my favorite print, especially for landscapes. The color comes as close as any print can to the color one sees on a back lit computer screen. STAINLESS STEEL MOUNTING POSTS
Another popular mounting system for metal prints involves using very attractive stainless steel posts in each corner of the print. The posts are available in two diameters, 5/8" and 1". This mounting system keeps the prints one inch away from the wall surface and provides the best option to keep your print secure and straight. No need to keep straightening your pictures! It's also ideal for mounting metal prints in public places to deter theft and accidental damage. When you order this mounting system, the metal comes pre-drilled with the proper sized holes in each corner, and you also receive the posts and wall-mounting hardware needed to secure the posts.
PREMIUM GALLERY WRAPS
Our premium gallery wraps are another great choice for wall displays that do not require a frame. The wrap has the canvas texture, but the surface is still bright and shiny and displays very accurate image detail and color. We offer a limited selection of sizes on the website store, but if you need a size not listed, let Ron know using the "Contact" form to discuss your requirements.
